Leading the group off the field will be Phil Marshall as Non-Playing Captain, supported by Tom Mawdsley as Coach, Gareth Hall as Assistant Coach, and Richard Wigmore as Team Support. On the field, the eight players selected to wear the England shirt are Dan Bradshaw, Ritchie McAlley, Max Barton, Stephen Follows, Freddie Leggett, Benjamin Savva, Tom Marshall, and Alex Bruce.
This group represents an exciting blend of experience, consistency, and form earned over an incredibly competitive selection cycle.
Meet The Squad
Phil Marshall
Non-Playing Captain
Factions: Slaves to Darkness, Skaven, Lumineth, Gitz
On the hobby
I love the people above anything. I love the analytical side of the game as much as the physical gaming side, so you’ll see me in a spreadsheet for most of my day!
On representing England
Couldn’t be more excited to be representing the England Team for Worlds 4 years in a row. This year in a different capacity as Non-Playing Captain after 3 years playing!
Tom Mawdsley
Coach
Factions: Skaven (20 years and counting!)
On the hobby
The relationships developed through the hobby — I’ve met the majority of my close friends through gaming, including my wife!
On representing England
Extremely proud to be back representing England for the 6th time at Worlds! Seeing the wider team grow since 2018 is something I’m immensely happy to be a part of.
Gareth Hall
Assistant Coach DEBUT
Factions: Blades of Khorne, Lumineth Realmlords, Stormcast Eternals
On the hobby
The instant community when you walk into a gaming hall, the friends you gather along the way, and the joy of sharing mutual interest with people around the world.
On representing England
I acquired a taste for international Warhammer at Worlds last year, got my first England cap at Six Nations in November — it’s a privilege the team want me along for the ride.
Dan Bradshaw
Player
Factions: Beasts of Chaos, Gitz, Slaanesh
On the hobby
I am the longest reigning UK Master and Heaviley Kebab in Stockport — if you know, you know.
On representing England
Excited to be back on the England Team for my 4th Worlds.
Ritchie McAlley
Player
Factions: Kharadron Overlords, Fyreslayers, Gloomspite Gitz
On the hobby
Lucky enough that this hobby is my job with running JustPlay in Liverpool! Been super lucky to travel around the world to play this game!
On representing England
Excited and honoured to be back on the Worlds Team for Pescara and get England back in the hunt to become World Champions again!
Max Barton

On the hobby
The people. I met my best mates through this hobby so will always be thankful for that.
On representing England
Could not be more thrilled to be back playing for England for the 4th time after coaching last year. This year I just think about my own play rather than eight people!
Freddie Leggett
Player
Factions: Beasts of Chaos (RIP), Khorne, Cities
On the hobby
Probably the same as everyone — it’s the social side. I’ve made friends for life through this amazing hobby.
On representing England
This is my third year playing for England and I still get as excited as when I first put the jersey on. The thirst for winning Worlds keeps bringing me back.
Benjamin Savva
Player WORLDS DEBUT
Factions: Orcs and Goblins!
On the hobby
Warhammer is both a celebration of the physical and an act of resistance in an increasingly digital world.
On representing England
The Redemption Arc is complete.
Tom Marshall
Player ENGLAND WORLDS DEBUT
Factions: Daughters of Khaine, Flesh-Eater Courts, Skaven
On the hobby
The social aspect — sharing that one common interest with everyone in the room. Sometimes the Warhammer is secondary to the socials of meals and drinks on a Saturday night!
On representing England
Really looking forward to making my debut for Team England at Worlds in Pescara. Feel super confident in my play this season!
Alex Bruce
Player ENGLAND WORLDS DEBUT
Factions: Cities, Lumineth, Sylvaneth, Fyreslayers, OBR
On the hobby
The social side of the scene — the opportunity to turn up to a tournament and spend time around great people never gets old.
On representing England
There’s a great environment that’s been built. Everyone’s pulling in the same direction — I’m most excited to make sure we perform and do us all proud.
The Wider Squad
The selection process was made exceptionally difficult by the strength and depth of the wider squad, whose commitment and performances throughout the year played a vital role in pushing standards higher across the team.
